Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

CBT is your first step into motorcycling. 16yrs 50cc, 17yrs onwards 125cc.


Service Description

Compulsory basic training (CBT) is a course you usually have to take before you ride a moped or motorcycle on the road. The training makes sure you can ride safely on your own while you practice for your full motorcycle test. CBT is not a test that you pass or fail. However you must demonstrate a safe ride on the road to obtain CBT. After you’ve completed CBT, you can ride a: moped if you’re 16 or over motorcycle up to 125cc and with a power output of up to 11kW if you’re 17 or over You must use L plates. You must pass your full moped or motorcycle test within 2 years, or you have to either take CBT again or stop riding.


Cancellation Policy

Trainees must be on site for ready to train for 0830hrs. Delays in arrival effects the days scheduling, compromises other trainees learning and can be difficult to accommodate. As a result of this deposit is non refundable. Trainees must wear sturdy boots, secured with laces (not trainer boots). Walking boots will be fine. A strong pair of jeans without holes and rips are the minimum acceptable trousers. This is for the safety of the student and cannot be compromised. Regrettably deposit will not be refunded for this oversite. Directions When your booking is confirmed you will receive details about the precise location of the training facility.
